Public Awareness and Blood Glucose Screening Camp in Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan Institute of Higher, Kabul Afghanistan


On Saturday 16th November 2019 DAA medical team along with Afghan Family Guidance Association (AFGA) and Ministry of Women Affairs (MoWA) together arranged a diabetic awareness and Blood Glucose Screening (BGS) camp inside Sayed Jamaluddin Afghan Institute of Higher Education conference hall.

In this event DAA had a presentation about diabetes for non-medical level in local language and after that the screening camp. AFGA and the MoWA were giving awareness about contraceptive medication and distributing some medicines to participants. Totally we screened 212 people in this campaign. Among the screened people there were 7 already diagnosed diabetic patients, 14 pre-diabetics and 4 people who were diagnosed suddenly and they did not know about their diabetes before this. Some informative banners were hanged around the conference room and also some brochures were distributed to participants.
