Press Conference for WDD 2019 in MoPH, Kabul Afghanistan


World Diabetes Day (14 November 2019) was celebrated by Afghan Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) and its some other partners (DAA, WHO, Afshar Hospital, Afghan Medical Council Directorate) inside the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) conference hall. In this celebration DAA was one of the active partners of this event.

In this event mostly there were speeches, about diabetes status in the world and Afghanistan. As Afghan MoPH requested DAA to available a diabetic patient to tell his diabetic life story in this event, so DAA introduced them a Type-1 diabetic patient (Faisal Nazari) to tell his life story since he is diagnosed diabetic.

Faisal is a diabetic patient whose father (Abdul Jabbar) is Type-2 diabetes and his younger brother (Rahim Nazari) is also Type-1 diabetes. He had a very good and real speech, and after the end of the program most of media wanted to have interview with him. Among the speakers there was Dr. Habib Gul Aryobi who was representing the DAA. Due to security problems in Afghanistan we could not achieve the Walk and the Blue Circle.
